Terms

The deal between you and MotoRidez.

No legal padding. By using MotoRidez you agree to what's on this page. If anything's unclear, ask — we'd rather explain than litigate.

Last updated 21 May 2026.

Who you're agreeing with

MotoRidez is operated by Dasdow Pty Ltd (ABN 26 692 744 326). These Terms cover the mobile apps, the web app, and this site. Contact: support@motoridez.com.

Who can use it

  • 18 or older. MotoRidez is currently Australia-only, and a motorcycle licence (required to ride on public roads here) is 18+ in every state and territory. We don't accept accounts from anyone younger.
  • You need a valid motorcycle licence to ride on public roads. MotoRidez is a planning tool, not a substitute for legal authority to operate a vehicle.
  • You hold the rights to any content you upload (photos, reviews, comments).

Your account

  • You're responsible for everything that happens on your account. Keep your password safe.
  • Give us accurate information when you sign up; update it if it changes.
  • Close your account any time from Settings → Delete account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, with notice where practical.

How not to use MotoRidez

Don't, and don't help anyone else:

  • Break a law.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or intimidate another rider.
  • Upload, post, or share anything unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate someone, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the Service.
  • Ride dangerously, recklessly, or in violation of road rules. MotoRidez does not condone unsafe riding.

Zero tolerance — content and behaviour

MotoRidez has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. This is a hard rule, not a soft policy.

Objectionable content means (at least) sexually explicit material, content depicting or glorifying violence, hate speech, threats, harassment, content that targets people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic, and content uploaded without the subject's consent.

Abusive users are those who repeatedly harass others, send unsolicited threatening messages, post objectionable content, or use the Service to intimidate or harm other riders.

We will remove objectionable content and ban abusive users within 24 hours of receiving a credible report, and we may do so without prior notice. Repeat offenders are permanently terminated and may have their devices blocked from creating new accounts.

Reporting + blocking

Every piece of user-generated content in the app — reviews, photos (when shipped), profile bios, ride alerts — carries a Report action. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

You can also block any other user. Blocked users can't see your content, profile, or live position; their content disappears for you.

Your content stays yours

  • You own every photo, review, comment, and trip you create. We don't claim it.
  • By posting content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service.
  • Delete your content (or your account) and the licence above ends for that content within 7 days, except for content already legally archived (e.g. as part of a legal proceeding).
  • We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these Terms, without notice.

Routing, navigation, safety

MotoRidez plans routes and provides turn-by-turn navigation using open-source map data (OpenStreetMap) and a routing engine we operate. We do our best, but:

  • Maps and routing can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete.
  • Road conditions change. We don't know about gravel, potholes, closures, or hazards in real time.
  • GPS can be inaccurate or unavailable.
  • You're responsible for your own riding decisions. Follow local road rules, signals, and authorised personnel — those override any navigation prompt.
  • Crash detection is best-effort. It may miss a real crash or fire on a false positive. Don't rely on it as your only emergency mechanism.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Dasdow Pty Ltd and its service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. That includes injury, property damage, loss of data, and loss of profits — even if we've been warned of the possibility.

Where local law doesn't allow these limits, our liability is the smallest amount the law permits.

Third-party services

The Service uses providers listed in the Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for their actions or omissions; their terms apply to the parts of the Service that depend on them.

Changes

We may add, remove, or change features at any time. Material changes to these Terms get an in-app notice and an email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the update.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Victoria. If you're a consumer protected by mandatory laws of your country of residence, those laws apply to the extent they grant rights you couldn't otherwise contract out of.
