The road from the old gold town of Waihi down to the surf beach at Whangamata, with a good run of corners through the Wharekawa hills.
Flowing at first, then tighter as it winds through the hills toward the coast.
It is busy in the summer holiday weeks, so go early or midweek.
Whangamata has food and fuel at the far end.
