A long, winding back road across the hill country of the Tararua district, quiet and tightly bent.

SeasonOctober to April

A road through farmland and ridgelines with very little traffic and a lot of corners.

It is remote. Fuel up in Pahiatua, and expect rough edges and the odd stock crossing.

It is a rewarding road for a slower day.
