The twistiest stretch of Kenepuru Road, along the edge of Kenepuru Sound from Linkwater toward Portage, one of the most corner-dense roads in the Marlborough Sounds.

SeasonNovember to April

Tight, narrow and almost never straight. The road clings to the shore of the sound with the bay below, and it demands attention the whole way.

It is a remote road with few services, and in places the surface is rough or narrow, so ride within your sight line.

Check road conditions after heavy rain, when slips and washouts are possible.
