The twistiest stretch of New Hampshire 112 through the White Mountain National Forest between Conway and Lincoln, best known for its autumn colour.

SeasonMay to October; late September to mid-October is the busiest

A flowing mountain road through forest and along rivers, with gentle sweeping bends and overlooks. It is known as the Kanc, and it is at its busiest in the autumn colour season.

There is no fuel on it, so fill up in Conway or Lincoln first. A White Mountain National Forest pass is needed to stop at many of the sites along the way.

Traffic is slow in peak foliage. Go on a weekday if you can.
