The twistiest stretch of the road across Glacier National Park from West Glacier to St. Mary, climbing along cliff edges toward Logan Pass.

SeasonSummer; the full road opens when snow allows

A narrow mountain road with big drops, tight corners and mountain walls overhead. It is as much a sightseeing drive as a ride, with the views changing at every turn.

It is open only part of the year and the full crossing usually runs from early summer into autumn. The National Park Service sets vehicle size limits and sometimes requires reservations, so check their site before you go.

It is busy in summer, with slow traffic and few places to pass. Go early in the day, and keep to your own lane.
