The twistiest stretch of Highway 99 over the Coast Mountains between Pemberton and Lillooet: steep grades and tight corners with very little between the two towns.
A proper mountain road. It climbs out of the coastal forest, crosses the pass beside the lake and drops into drier country toward Lillooet, with sustained bends and hairpins on the steeper sections.
Services are scarce, so fuel in Pemberton or Lillooet before you start.
Winter tyre rules apply on designated BC highways between October and April, and the pass can close for snow and slides. Check DriveBC before you leave.
