Up out of Canungra and onto the Beechmont plateau, one of the busiest riding roads behind the Gold Coast.

SeasonAutumn to spring; storms in summer

The road climbs from the Canungra valley in a run of tight, linked bends, then eases onto the plateau.

Because it is so popular with riders from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, weekends bring heavy bike traffic and regular police attention. Early on a weekday is a different road.

Gravel washes onto the corners after storms, and the shaded sections stay damp long after the rain stops.
